Certification and e-Learning

In recent reports large corporate trainers have noted that a higher percentage of students in e-based learning courses pass certification exams than those in instructor-led classes. Why? Self-paced learning seems to improve retention rates.

When developing your own e-learning courses, take advantage of the "big boys" and other services out there that can give you study questions, case scenarios and outlines for certification exams. Model you courses after these exams to offer the maximum learning experience to your students, therefore reinforcing that self-paced learning is more suitable to the adult learner.
